The Persimmon Charitable Foundation

We set up the Persimmon Charitable Foundation in 2015 to help support communities around the UK.

The Foundation supports projects that address deprivation or disadvantage in our communities, especially among young people. These include social mobility and youth development, such as learning and training.

Separate to the Foundation’s charitable giving, Persimmon plc makes donations of up £6,000 to local charities and community groups in the areas where it operates every quarter. To find out more, and to apply for a smaller donation, visit the Community Champions website.

The Foundation distributes funding in the following ways:

1) An open application programme

Charities and community groups can apply for one of two £50,000 donations, awarded twice a year in May and September. Find out more here

2) Annual donations

Donations are distributed to charities identified and selected by the Foundation in December each year.

3) Additional donations

The Foundation supports ad hoc projects as they arise and reserves funds to support this contingency.

Since 2022, the Foundation has donated over £1 million to local charities and community groups.
