Development of new homes to open in Coventry

New homes are coming to Coventry next weekend with the launch of a new development.

Whitmore Place on Holbrook Lane is a development of 347 homes on the site of the former factory operated by Meggitt plc.

The mix of properties will include two-bed apartments, two and three-bed semi-detached and terraced houses, and four-bed detached homes. Of those, 73 will be affordable (21%) and four of them will be designated First Homes providing local first-time buyers who meet the criteria with at least a 30% discount on the market price.

Whitmore Place opens on Saturday, March 19 with properties available from £230,000.

Whitmore Place benefits from a family-friendly setting with easy access via the motorway network to the whole of the Midlands. Less than three miles from Coventry city centre, the new homes at Whitmore Place are within walking distance of local schools, a good range of shops and green open spaces.

Construction is well underway on the site, with the first residents likely to move in this summer.

Planning permission for the 22.3 acres development was granted by Coventry City Council and represents an investment of more than £48m by Persimmon. The housebuilder is set to contribute more the £2m to education in the area through section 106 agreements, as well as £25k to highways, NHS CCG £197k, NHS Trust £367k and £50k for a sports club.
