A Warwickshire-based football team has been given a cash boost, thanks to a donation from our South Midlands team.
Meon Vale FC was gifted a £1,000 cash donation as part of our Community Champions initiative. The funds were used to purchase lining paint, helping whiten the pitch lines and maintain the pitch usability for all ages for at least the next two seasons.
Matt Henson at Meon Vale FC, said: “We’re so grateful for this kind donation from Persimmon Homes. Our club largely relies on the kindness, time and generosity of our volunteers and sponsors; knowing we’ll be able to ensure the kids can play on a fully marked out pitch is just excellent.”
Amanda Rogers, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands said: “What we do is about far more than just building quality homes – we’re also committed to providing support and leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities we build in.
“Local sports clubs are a key pillar of communities, allowing local people to come together and work towards a shared goal whilst improving their fitness and sporting ability. We’re delighted to be able to support Meon Vale FC.”
