Plans submitted for 104 new homes in Calderdale

Plans for 104 new homes in Shelf have been submitted to Calderdale Council by Yorkshire region.

The site at Soaper Lane is allocated for housing in Calderdale’s Local Plan, which aims to increase the number and types of houses available to local homebuyers.

This application would deliver a mix of property types and sizes ranging from 2 to 4 bed homes.

31 one of the homes will be transferred to a local housing provider.

Built to new building regulations, the new homes will benefit from improved energy efficiency helping reduce energy bills for homeowners.

Yorkshire region is working closely with Calderdale Council and engaging with local residents and stakeholders through the application process.

James Parkin Land Director, West Yorkshire region, said: “We’re delighted to have submitted plans for a new development in Shelf.

“This development will provide 104 high quality new homes for local homebuyers, built to a high design in keeping with the local area.

“With the need for new housing rightly high up the political agenda, we’re pleased to be working with Calderdale Council and local stakeholders to deliver homes for first-time buyers, families and downsizers alike.”
