King’s Lynn is a medieval port town in West Norfolk with a rich maritime history. Clustered around cobbled streets, the merchants’ houses, customs house (1683) and ancient listed building all add to the quaint ambiance of your new home .

From King’s Lynn you can enjoy days out at English Heritage’s Castle Rising Castle, one of the best preserved 12th century forts in the country. The king’s residence, Sandringham, is just six miles away and is open in the summer for visits to the house, church, museum and beautiful gardens. King’s Lynn is also within easy access to some of Norfolk’s most visited beaches including Hunstanton, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cromer.

Schools and education

King’s Lynn has an enviable range of primary schools and a choice of four secondary schools – in all 19 local schools are rated as Good by Ofsted. Topping the league table is the Outstanding Eastgate Academy for ages 4-11. There is also a Good all-through SEN school, Churchill Park Complex Needs School.

The perfect location for travel

Your new house in West Norfolk has excellent road links. The A47 offers easy access to Norwich (44 miles) and Peterborough (36 miles). Cambridge is just an hour away by train, with regular services at peak times, every 30 minutes. Trips to London Kings Cross take around two hours.
