Road and rail links
You can be in Durham (4 miles) in just eight minutes so that’s a real bonus for work and pleasure. Chester-le-Street (5 miles) is a large town to the North on the A167. If you need to travel further afield, you are not far from the A1(M) which takes you into Gateshead (12 miles) and Newcastle-upon-Tyne (15 miles) to the North, or Darlington (25 miles) to the South.
It’s great to be able to get into the countryside of the Durham Dales (20 miles), or into the main towns so easily from your new house. It is just four miles from Durham Railway Station, and there are direct buses serving the area to make onward travel from your new property, easy.

Durham is great for grown-ups, whether it’s shopping, café culture, regatta-time, restaurants or night life. Children won’t miss out though, with Diggerland Durham, Adventure Valley and Wharton Park all within very easy reach.
