Persimmon helps save lives in Thames Valley

Persimmon Homes has donated £3,500 to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance to aid them in their mission to save even more lives.
The charity were called out 3,129 patients last year, providing hospital-standard care at the site of an emergency and ensuring those in life-threatening conditions were taken to the right destination for their needs.
It costs £3,950 to send the helicopter on each mission and as an independent charity the Thames Valley Air Ambulance receives no government or national lottery funding, relying solely on donations from generous supporters.
Five-star housebuilder Persimmon Homes Thames Valley was keen to support the charity, which covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire, and made a donation from the Community Champions fund.
They presented the money at the charity’s Stokenchurch HQ and invited members of Buckinghamshire Council along to join the event, where they were offered a tour of the facilities by critical care paramedic Emma Gray.
Mimi Harker OBE, Chairman of Buckinghamshire Council, said: “It is wonderful see Persimmon Homes supporting our community and ensuring the air ambulance can continue their vital, life-saving work.”
Cllr Shade Adoh and Cllr Robert Carington, Ridgeway West Ward Members, added: “Thank you to Persimmon for choosing to support this important charity based in our ward.
“We both know how important this charity is and are delighted Persimmon have recognised that.”
Karl Endersby, Technical Director for Persimmon Homes Thames Valley, said: “At Persimmon, we are proud to play an active role in our communities by working with charities and voluntary organisations to create a lasting legacy in the areas in which we are building.”
