Outside learning area set to be transformed for youngest pupils Suffolk primary

Foundation pupils at Hadleigh Community Primary School will see their outside play and learning transformed this spring following a donation from our Suffolk business.
Pupils from the school visited our newly-opened show home at Constable Vale in the historic market town to accept a cheque for £4,000.
The school had applied for funding through the Community Champions scheme, which is designed to create a lasting legacy in the areas within which Persimmon Homes is building.
James Cartlidge, MP for South Suffolk, joined the presentation and shared in the celebration with pupils and said he was delighted to see the funding being used to promote outside play.
Gary Pilkington, Head Techer of Hadleigh Community Primary School, said: “We would like to thank Persimmon Homes Suffolk for this donation, which will be used to create a high-quality learning space that will allow our Foundation pupils to spend as much time outside as possible.
“We know that being outside brings huge benefits to our children and want to encourage this as much as possible.”
Ian Hamilton, Managing Director for Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: “At Persimmon we are passionate about creating valuable open green spaces within our new development that will benefit the whole community.
“Hearing that the school were also working to create an outside place to enhance the children’s learning experience we were keen to support them and offer this grant to allow them to complete the project.”
We are building 184 Persimmon-branded homes at Constable Vale as part of a wider development that includes the adjoining Charles Church Rose Manor scheme.
The development, off Ellen Aldous Way, will bring a total of 273 homes to the town, and will also offer employment land to create lasting community benefits.
